Sample Project Summaries
Performance Measures for Insurance Regulation. KEB was the consultant for a project with a state insurance regulator to establish performance measures for all major regulatory functions and divisions. KEB organized and facilitated a phased process through which lead staff for each function identified meaningful performance measures and established short and long term standards for those measures.
Performance Measures for Elder Abuse Programs. KEB designed and developed a comprehensive quality assessment process for a state’s elder abuse program. This system provided all policy and procedural guidance needed to periodically assess the quality of services being provided in more than sixty-five programs statewide. This engagement included design and development of performance measurement protocols as well as all related administrative procedures and support systems.
Development of outcome-orientated performance metrics. KEB was one of four consulting firms selected by the Executive Office of the Governor to provide consulting assistance to Illinois state agencies in developing outcome-oriented performance metrics. The metrics reflected the specific plans and priorities of the Governor and are being used as a management tool to reflect the performance of every state agency in relationship to these priorities. As part of this project, KEB conducted extensive research to compare legislative requirements and performance metrics in other states, in the federal government and in the private sector with legislative requirements and the Governor’s priorities in Illinois.
