Clarification of Future Ownership for Specialty Physician Group. KEB helped a large group of specialty physicians resolve issues regarding future ownership of the group’s practice. Facilitating an ad hoc committee of nine physicians, we helped define basic principles any ownership changes must meet, identified alternative ownership scenarios consistent with those principles and helped committee members understand the financial and other implications of each scenario for current and future owners. The committee’s recommendations were presented to and accepted by the group’s Board of Directors.

Resolution of Family Business Conflicts. KEB was engaged by a medium-sized manufacturing client to resolve issues regarding business decision-making authority and control over the business, and to make recommendations for improving company management. Working closely with the brother owners, KEB assessed the nature of ownership conflicts and identified the impact of these conflicts on company operations. Our work resulted in a comprehensive report on the ownership dispute, options for resolving it, and other management improvements needed to maintain company growth and profitability.
